DESCRIPTION:Do you want free NYC compost? Coastal Preservation Network is co-sponsoring a giveaway day on Sept. 30 from 1-3 pm at MacNeil Park (near the baseball field). ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Email kathryncervino (at) gmail.com \nDSNY will provide 40lb bags of garden mulch made from NYC food scraps & yard waste. Fall is a great time to spread compost over your garden bed! DSNY staff will also be on hand to answer questions about the city’s curbside organics collection program.
