SUMMARY:College Point Coastal Cleanup at Powell's Cove Park! part of National River Cleanup Day
DESCRIPTION:The beach at Powell’s Cove Park is very polluted in several spots\, and we will tackle two of the worst. Both are accessible from the “flagpole entrance” at 9th ave and 130th st.: the beach just east of the “painted rocks” overlook\, and the beach whose entry path is a short walk from that overlook. We will work together to really try to make a dent on removing the extensive pollution! Co-sponsored by American Rivers and New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. Bags\, tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Please\, spread the word! Get your youth/school /faith/corporate groups involved. Questions?
